How to download a movie from YouTube ?
MNPlight can download a movie from YouTube and import it in the
iPod database.
- Use the YouTube application of the iPhone to watch the
movie you want to download.
- Open MNPlight Youtube page: MNPlight reads the YouTube cache
and displays the list of available movies, listed in decreasing view
counts.
- For each movie, you have three links:
- Play On Edge will play the movie in low quality.
- Play On Wifi will play the movie in good quality.
- Download On iPhone will download the movie in good
quality to the /var/mobile/Media/MNPlight/video/ directory.
- When you download a movie, it can take a long time, because the
server is sending the data at the speed necessary to play the movie.
Once the download has been started, it can only be interrupted in
the Download manager.
How to download a movie in Edge quality ?
The download link will download the movie in good quality. You
might want to download the movie in low quality. For that:
- Use the link to play the movie in low quality
- Open another Tab in Safari, to MNPlight page
- Go to the Safari page in MNPlight, and use the Download button there.
How to watch or interrupt a download ?
During a download, interrupting the page download won't stop the
download, so you can close Safari or move to another page. To watch
the download progress or interrupt the download, you can use the
Download Manager link.
